Day 43: Moncton to Charlottetown 153 km

After a great breakfast with Will, Norman and Chris at St. Georges Anglican, our ride started just after 7 am into the fog, a really thick fog in some places. Then it was gone and we road in sun shine for the rest of the day. DSC_6370Our ride over central New Brunswick was up and down with a mix of fairly dense forests and farms. Our first glimpse of the Atlantic was an exciting moment. DSC_6393photo 1The Confederation Bridge welcomed us to Prince Edward Island. photo(138)After crossing the bridge the first field… photo(135)Yes a potato field, look at the red soil! Before we arrived in PEI, we were lead to believe the ride would be fairly flat. We must of misunderstood the comments because PEI is far from being flat. It felt like we reached the highest point on the island, so a really good work out! (As if we need a workout! Lol!) Lots of great views.DSC_6513Two families hosted our team, Rob and I joined Sally and Tim, who hosted a wonderful backyard Bar B Q with a group 20 friends and neighbours. DSC_6533Richard, Jacquie and Timo had dinner and an island tour with Maureen and Bruce. Richard really appreciated the gluten free pasta Maureen made for him. Here’s a couple shots of PEI. What a beautiful place!DSC_6551DSC_6549

  1. Dear Team:

Keep on biking. The folk here at Braemar continue to pray for strength and safety.
