90 Times Longer!

Yesterday I flew from Ottawa to Vancouver. It is a sobering thought that what I just did by plane in 8 hours will take me 30 days to do by bicycle – Vancouver to Ottawa. That is 90 times longer!

How long does it take me and you to get our first drink of water each morning? 30 seconds, 60 seconds? It is a sobering thought that what we do in a few seconds frequently takes women and children in rural Africa over an hour. That is 90 times longer!
