Day 55: Trois-Rivieres to Levis – 136 KM

Day 55: Trois-Rivieres to Levis – 136 KM

We woke up to rain! Our route plan for the day was on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River. Cyclists are not allowed to cross the bridge, so Lyndon drove us across from Trois-Rivieres to the south shore. By the time we got over the bridge the rain stopped!

We headed east. All day we had great views! Before 11, we had blue sky and sun. We even had coffee break with a view.

The south shore seems less developed than the north shore with lots of farm land. Similar to the north shore, we passed through many small towns with lots of character and many symbols of the religious roots in Quebec.

For the first time since Toronto we experienced a few hills.

When we entered Levis which is just across the river from Quebec City, we somehow got on one of the busiest roads we’ve experienced thus far!! After a few consolations with google, we found a bike path that led us very close to our host’s home!

Our hosts, Sophie and Pierre, provided parking, dinner, showers and washer and dryer! Thank you Sonia and Pierre!
