This morning we turned southeast and left the St. Lawrence behind. South eastern Quebec and western New Brunswick reminded us a bit of the rolling foothills of Alberta.

Yesterday the kilometers melted away like ice on a hot summer day. Today was a different story. Hills and a head wind made for a challenging ride. Added to the mix was a 5 km stretch of road that had been ground for resurfacing. If you look carefully at this picture you can see the road in the background going up and over, our longest hill of the day.

Fall colours are starting to show up. What a beautiful time of year!

Grand Falls is farming and potato country. Timo and Rob found a few along the road today. Guess what’s for dinner tomorrow night!
