When the cycling4water team crossed Canada July 1 to Aug 23, 2014, scores of people and groups hosted the team to speak and in their homes – providing supper, letting them park the support vehicle (motor home) overnight and providing a bed or two. With their participation the team was able to raise just over $285,000 to provide 33 deep-capped water wells. Now 33,000 African men, women and children have clean, disease-free drinking water! It couldn’t have been done without the hosts!
In 2016 as Rob and Timo “continue the dream” cycling from Portage-la-Prairie to Quebec City they will again need your help. Will you host the team and help with the goal of raising $85,000 for another 10 wells? Providing clean, disease-free water for an additional 10,000 villagers? Hosting is a vital role.
Two ways to host:
- sign-up the team to speak using the form below . But first consult the “Events” page to see if they are already registered to speak in your community.
- offer to meet their practical overnight needs using the form below . But first consult the “Stopover” page and see if someone has already signed up to meet that need in your community.
